Pilates is a unique method of body conditioning consisting of a series of stretching and strengthening exercises that are aimed at improving one's core stability (strength originating from the deep muscles of the abdomen, pelvis, spine, and shoulder girdle).  It can increase muscle strength and tone without excessive bulk, improve posture, increase flexibility, enhance balance, decrease and prevent back pain, improve energy levels, and heighten body awareness.  Throughout the session, you will be asked to focus on training the body and mind together as you explore each move.
