About Jennifer Speiden
Creative movement has always been an integral part of Jennifer's personal and professional life. She enjoys integrating movement and healing arts into her work and play for overall health, well-being, and enjoyment. Jennifer is inspired to weave tools and teachings from both Eastern and Western medicine & movement approaches to encourage people of all ages and ability levels to tend and befriend their bodies, breath, minds, hearts, and spirits.
Jennifer has trained in a variety of styles of yoga as well as specialized training to work with individuals who have not readily been given access to somatic tools of self-regulation, self-integration, and resiliency. This includes adapting trauma-informed practices to support those living with developmental disabilities, neurodiverse individuals, elder populations, those recovering from substance addictions, individuals living with mental health challenges, and those who have experienced trauma (including caregivers who can experience secondary trauma in their line of work.)
She hopes to help individuals enjoy the beauty of the dance between mindful movement and reflective stillness while navigating the waves of the physical, emotional, and mental challenges that come with living in a human body in this world.

Acknowledgment
I am an interdisciplinary facilitator and who leads classes and explorations that integrate the wisdom of yoga, yoga therapy, Ayurveda, somatics, rhythm, and play.
The original stewards of the land I live and work on is stolen land that belongs to the Tutelo people. I offer my reverence to them and to this land, and I commit to decolonization as a way of life.
The ancestors of several of my inspirations that support my learning are not my blood ancestors. I pay respect to them and seek to honor them as my own.
